They are very smart, and you could drop a line right in the middle of a school, and they would ignore you.So glad you made good use of that fish. It's a shame it was introduced in the first place, and I found the Australian law interesting about not throwing them back. Wise considering how devastating they can be to the native fish. I have never eaten carp before and have only started liking fish in these last few years. I don't know what changed, mind and palate probably.
