SkyWatch *17 Changing Sky

Click on photos for greater effect.

All photos were taken in consecutive order in
the space of 20 minutes!

The sun just dropping down behind the hill.

Turn your head a little and the sky is a deep
blue with drifting balls of fluff,

a little more, and the attack comes in spearhead
formation

as the cloud war in the skies veers and shifts

some will 'o the whisps chasing each other

meanwhile, the sun has had enough of it and
done a disappearing trick!

leaving the moon in charge of the sky, but not
completely, those raging clouds still have some
say in the matter

as, seconds ater, they fight for supremacy with
the moon

while yet again the sky changes it's character as
a boat of dreams sails into the unknown.

Just too much for one worn out shutterfinger,
I leave it for the birds.

To Klaus and the team, my heartfelt thanks for
organizing this inspiring meme.

  2. Your Skywatch last week was all red. Today it's blue. Great series. I especially love the ones where the moon is visible during daytime. I saw that here too but I am still learning how to use my camera so my photographs are not as good as yours. The photo of the bird is a perfect conclusion. Have a great day Arija.

  6. Yes, what a lovely series of photos of the ever changing skies, accompanied by a dramatic script!
I love best the mighty black shilouettes of the pine (?) trees - pictures like these open up my heart :)
My SWF post is up now, I prepared it last night, checked how it looks online and took it off again. Sorry, Arija! Happy SWF!

  8. Isn't it amazing that colours in the sky change when you turn a little bit to the left or right? It's great to see these Australian skies again, albeit from photos!
    Thanks!

  42. The conventional wisdom is that if you like the light you see in front of you, turn and look behind you. Chances are good that it's even better.

I love the story of your skyborne Mahabharat. Awesome spectacle.

  51. This is really beautiful series of sky photos! I love the colour of lovely blue sky with various shapes of white clouds on it as well as the Moon. The first photo is beautiful and interesting with those two trees that look like hold tight not wanting to be separated ever. And the last photo with that cute little bird is great, indeed.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I like breaking the rules, I just think street lamps and power lines ruin things. Most of the time anyway. And they seem to confuse some people (Marie's comment)?
