SkyWatch ~ 46 ~ Winter Skies

The world is changing yet again, these wondrous
naked trees showing the essence of their being are
thinking now of Spring.
Please enlarge them to enjoy their beauty!

These are the last of the winter skies, soon, too soon
clouds will be in short supply, the sun already burns
and the warm north wind dries out the soil.

Another month and this will be the scene, hope in
the sky but always passing by.

One more sunrise to add some colour to our lives.

The Logo opens an Alladin's cave of skies!

A big thank you to Klaus and our SkyWatch Team
for continuing this informative meme.

  2. There is something so lovely about a bare tree against a grey, winter sky. Fall is just around the corner in my little neck of the woods. Yay!

  3. Although I always look forward to the coming of Spring there is something so beautiful about bare trees isn't there? I thik this is particularly so when they are on the edge of bare ploughed earth.
    Lovely photos Arija

  7. It is so strange seeing winter shots as I am used to our trees in leaf but they are so calming and beautiful!

  8. I'm sorry to have to admit it, but I fell for those summer fields in the third picture.

  10. Magnificent shots as always, Arija! You never, ever disappoint! The first ones really look wintery, but the promise is in that gorgeous sunset!

  14. I love the sense of your winter fading as our summer fades.

  17. Hard to think of winter skies in the heat of our summer. Lovely captures. I love the last, the colors are so captivating.

  18. I too love the bare winter trees against the sky. Every season has it's beauty, and as your spring comes around I'm starting to notice little touches of autumn here.

  21. Love your sunrises! And the blue sky with clouds over the field is idyllic!

  22. The third photograph is absolutely beautiful. I love BIG clouds! The fourth one would make me so happy to see it in person. We only get those kinds of skies during the hurricanes! We have to pay for them big time.

  23. I keep forgetting it is winter down there. We are just starting to see the first bits of red in the trees here in New England. You will be enjoying spring flowers just as our tree flame into color.

  24. I am spoiled for choice with these images. From cool skies to fiery golds always so beautiful. Not like our winters at all.

  25. Hallo Arija,

  42. Arija, all beautiful as usual. The sunrise is outstanding though. When I read your sentence about "The Logo opens an Alladin's cave of skies" I thought at first that you were referring to The Logos; The Word, as "In the beginning was the Word..." I suppose it could be read either way!

  47. Your photos take my breath away over and over again. This series of photos is fantastic. The last two look spectacular.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I enjoyed this post very much, Arija.
Not only the pictures are beautiful - specially the last two - but your text was very nice too. It's pleasant to read you can almost see the end of the winter. Overhere it's still summer and warm. Funny: your north wind brings warmth, are north wind always brings colder weather.
This is the reason why I like SWF so much. :-)
    Enjoy your weekend!

  49. Beautiful pictures all of them, but I fell for the last one. What more can one ask for if not a beautiful sunrise.

  54. Something special to love in each of the images: the sky through the bare trees in the first one, the hole in the clouds in the second, grass in the third, and a colorful sunrise in the last. They are all so beautiful, thank you for sharing!

  55. It is hard to imagine those wintry skies when we are finally having summer heat here at last. Beautiful sunrise, so dramatic.
