  2. My Christmas cactus is just coming into bud Arija. I am afraid to say that I have really neglected it this year - often forgetting to water it for weeks - but it has really come up well with masses of buds, as though it thrives on jeglext.
That lovely cake on the pretty cloth - altogether a work of art. Enjoy eating it.

  8. The flowering Christmas cactus is stunning. Although I have a black thumb I enjoy the ones that friends have.
That cake your grandaughter baked in a work of art, as the table setting. Hope no possums mess it up. They wouldn't leave hungry. ;-)

  14. I've never seen such large blooms on a Christmas cactus before! You have the magic touch, Arija. And that cake is truly too beautiful to eat.

Oh my GOODNESS! You caught another possum, and what awful things it left behind for you. I must say, it's much cuter than the ugly white faced ones we have here in America. I'm glad it's gone, but just how are they getting in?!

  17. Nice! Our Christmas Cactus blooms reliably each spring (about Easter time), but sometimes we luck out in December. No buds yet, though, so I'll just enjoy yours.
