TODAY'S FLOWERS ~ Roses for Renee

Our dear, dear blog and sisterfriend Renee is preparing for
her final journey. We, her friends, feel helpless at the thought
of her being plucked from our midst.

May the scent of these roses ease her passage and fill the
the sails of her ship as she heads into the sunset.

Safe journey dear, loving, laughing friend. You gave us so much joy!

Drift lightly like the rose petals into the hands of God.

but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you."

  24. arija, how totally beautiful and loving to imagine the scent of roses surrounding renee. my strongest hope right now is that she is free of pain.

renee received flowers from laurel (studio lolo) and me on the day before she finally let herself be hospitalized. i cherish that memory--her favorite yellows. she said they were totally beautiful, that they made her so happy.

i am sure she knows it is you who has sent these roses to accompany her home.

i am so sad and yet i just want to know there is no more pain.

    love to you, arija,
    kj

  28. Dearest Arija, your roses, they are so lush and beautiful and explosive. I'm sure when Renee closes her eyes to rest, she smells the faint perfume of roses, and she wonders where that fragrance is coming from. But then in her dreams, she floats over oceans and mountains and realizes it is from your beautiful garden, and the roses bloom just for her. And this makes her smile even wider.

You are beautiful, Arija. You are every bit as beautiful as your roses and that magnificent water lily. I am thankful that the heat is starting to fade. I pray for some rain to give the wildlife and plants, but mostly you, some much needed relief.

I love the comment you left for me. We were terrible triplets, weren't we. :)

Great big buckets of love to you.
    XOXOXOX
