MY WORLD ~ Nostalgia Trip

I may be out of the woods, but not strong enough to travel yet
so I am taking you on a little nostalgia trip to the beautiful and
prosperous country town of Horsham, Victoria.

*
We like to make this our halfway house between Adelaide and
Melbourne, rather than over tax ourselves by doing the 700km
in one fell swoop.
*
I usually rise before the sun, take my camera and creep from
our motel room, taking care not to disturb the Prof. still gathering
strength for the road ahead.
*
I walk along the Wimmera river enjoying the light reflecting in the
water, then double back
*

*
past this charming old weatherboard house with its picket fence
that I have absolutely fallen in love with.
*

Rather neglected and complete with a lytch gate, just the place
for an elderly witch to grow herbs and gain the respect of passing
school childrn . . . .
*

Being a well to do town, it also boasts this beautifully restored
red letter box for the accomodation of His Majesty's mail.
Both now only of historical significance.

Thanks to the great job the MY WORLD Team do, we can all
share in pooling our favourite places.

You said, you are rising before the sun, it made me smile, because our sun is rising now about 3am and setting about 11pm and never dark any more :)
