TODAY'S FLOWERS ~ Pink Surprises

Ah, what it is to have two large gardens and not be able to keep
them up anymore . . . and yet, and yet, they keep rewarding me.

Above, a treasure from our garden on the mountain and below,
a present on the farm. Almost at the end of our first month of
winter and still they flower....

  15. Your flowers are always so beautiful. I can relate to this post. I can't keep up with my garden but it keeps me happy with blooms both from what I planted in the past, as well as volunteers that are sometimes as much fun as the specimen plants.

  17. Dear Arija, pink flowers in all their loveliness. That is what gardens do they slowly close in on us, mine does. I prune and prune and when I look around...well and still I make cuttings and tuck them in a tiny space, I plant a new rose, c'est la vie for me! Have a nice week.

  23. Thanks for your recent visit and comment Arija. I appreciate the show of support.
The roses seem to be giving a burst of colour here on the Adelaide plains as well, before succumbing to the pruning shears and winter starkness.I have a Camp David red rose that has bloomed this week and it looks and smells divine. I have enjoyed reading your posts.

  29. Beautiful flowers...I love the pink rose. It is hard when you can't garden any more and want to. My garden wouldn't have anything in it if it wasn't for the perenials that still survive....and the grass and weeds. I just can't got down on my knees and it is hard to do things standing up or sitting.
