MY WORLD ~ Eyre Peninsula Coast

When our souls are in need of a rest cure, we often head to the
Eyre Peninsola in South Australia.
There are miles and miles of unending, pristine beaches and
the constant boom of crashing rollers roaring in to assault the
land. Not another human being in sight.
A perfect paradise for a loner like me to be rejuvenared by
the buffeting winds and the salt sea air.
*

*
The tonal range of blue the sea offers to my hungry eyes
sinks deep within my being
*

*
making me skip and dance on the soft white sand
*

*
to the rhytm of the ever pounding waves.
*

*
A glimpse of coastal vegetation
*

*
and a Pacific gull threatening to shower me with a rich, nourishing
blessing better suited to my garden.
*

*
The sea scapes are worth enlarging if you appreciate the colour 'blue'
or are addicted to water.
*
Thanks to the MY WORLD Team, we can all hold hands across the oceans.

  3. Oh how gorgeous Arija! The pictures are stunning. Makes me want to get my toes into that sand. What beautiful blue water. Almost the same blue as the sky. I would love to be there in the breeze.

  4. Hallo,

  5. Hi Arija, thank you for your heavenly beautiful pictures! Your comments on the seagull made me smile! Some years ago, a British seagull in Dover showered me with a rich, nourishing blessing better suited to a garden...
What a warm welcome to the British peninsula!
Thank you for your visit to my blog! I'm OK, but I have so little time for blogging at the moment! I enjoy every minute of the summer season outside, swimming and hiking in the evenings after work... Summer is so short here in Central Europe!
I wish I could stay at your lovely dreamy beach in Australia once!
Have a nice week ahead, dear Arija!

  6. Thank you for your heavenly pictures! The blue colour is breathtaking!
I wonder if my first comment found its way to you, I fear something went wrong and it simply disappeared!
I only wanted to tell you that everything is ok with me and that I have so little time for blogging as I use every free minute after work to enjoy our short summer season with swimming and hiking and meeting friends in on of Vienna's beer garden...
I'd love to spend some time at your lovely beach once!

  9. How thrilling a set of images, the waters there are so beautiful in their hues of blues and aquas. I can imagine hearing the rushing waves come in and hit those beautiful boulders. I also love the one of the vegetation, just a lovely display of images. So hoping that indeed you did rest and get rejuvenated Arija~

  10. I can understand why you love this Arija. Husband's father was originally a Wudinna boy,and his grandfather was the District Clerk of LeHunte and had a lot to do with the construction of the Eyre Highway while living in Wudinna.
Frustrated with my unfamiliarity with the Eyre Peninsua,I finally insisted husband took me to Ceduna and Cactus Beach. He was reluctant to drive the distance as you can imagine, but we shared the driving, and had a good time.
The pebbles, pristine sands and clear waters of Cactus were amazing, and I revelled in environments such as you've shown.
I am so pleased the Eyre Peninsula soothes your soul.We all need such places and your photos are wonderful.

  12. The sea is so incredibly blue where you are. Just looking at the waves in your pictures is refreshing as I sit here on the other side of the planet on a very hot day in BC.

  13. These shots are so beautiful. That would be a very healing place to be for me. I love the beautiful beaches and especially like to be at beaches where there aren't crowds of people so these would be perfect for me.

  23. I am with you on this one Arija, a perfect way to recharge the soul, except maybe for the gift from the gull :)

  24. What a great, remote area to have at your backdoor. Didn't know gulls were notorious for their Gift (as a German might say).

  26. Simply gorgeous. This looks like paradise to me - a warm, deserted beach with perfect waves. Of course there are no beaches within hundreds of miles of where I live!
