Shadow Shot Sunday ~ Shadows of the Mind

Shadows of the mind
of loves lost and left behind
cling in dark moments
to disturb our sleep
and keep
the memories alive.

When it lies trampled
and the crows have picked the bone
some glimmer of the truth still clings
and shines.

  3. Nice drive-by shadow.
I assume that's a kangaroo. Must be pretty recent to be so much still held together. I would have wanted the skull. Hope that doesn't sound too gross. Oh well.

  14. Sorry guys, nothing quite so romantic as a kangaroo, just a common very old sheep that went to its final sleep and we had not noticed else it would have seen decent burial.

  27. well, I'm not sure which I like the more ~ the poem or the photos. they are both lovely and speak softly like the shadows. the sadness of the first with the warmth of the second makes them beautiful together. have a beautiful day!
