SkyWatch ~ Spring Skies

Spring is in full swing, the air is balmy, I need to do some
spring cleaning and masses of weeding but instead, I take
a much read and much loved book into the semi-shade of
the almond tree and give myself up to the heady perfumes
wafting on the breeze, the twitter of birds, the croaking
of frogs and my well written novel . . . aah, bliss . . .

There is nothing nicer than feeling vaguely naughty whilst
reading, knowing that just maybe there are more important
things that need to be done . . . but . . . if I drop dead in an
hour, will it matter? At least I will I will die happy, having
savoured this moment.

The garden is already drying out and tomorrow I will water
but today this mousy is all for play.

Enjoy your day wherever you are, as I am enjoying mine.

  2. Such gorgeous skies and I do love the spring colors/flowers! Marvelous captures, Arija, as always! We're moving into gray, grumpy fall, but at least the temps are mild and it isn't raining -- yet, so guess I can't complain!

  4. These beautiful skies need to be enjoyed. I like the idea that if I drop dead in an hour the work left undone will not matter.

  5. The work is always there, but sometimes you just have to kick back and enjoy the beauty around you. I've been putting off household chores too and snatching time in the sun while I can as our fall weather closes in and the days get shorter.

  7. Those skies with white billowy clouds are my favorite kind of day so I'd be naughty and sit in that shade too.
    Beautiful shots Arija!

Although I love the wild storms I'm getting tired of the constant rain and would rather enjoy your sweet smelling spring and a good book.

  14. I like the way you tried to capture the spring skies. Flowering trees look reaching out to the sky in the joy and praise of spring. Yes, I'll enjoy my day in the returned summer of muggy weather. Have a nice weekend, arija.
