TODAY'S FLOWERS - Orchids

I grow my orchids in a shade-house but unfortunately I have
no covered area to protect them under as they come into bud
and flower. This hanging basket, 14" in diameter, I put into my
studio and hey presto!, perfect flowers for the first time.

The little orchid at the back of the pot is doing well because
it is sitting on the moist mix in the hanging basket

and this is the bigger one complete with cobwebs.

  3. Beautiful, cobwebs and all. I so wish I didn't kill so many orchid plants. :(

  4. Both are beautiful! I love orchids, but I can't even keep the simplest house plants alive. I'm glad they bloomed so nicely for you.

  5. I can imagine the difficulty of growing tropical orchids in temperate climes, it will really be a challenge. Dendrobium as in that first one, is just left outside in full sun the whole year, and they flower the whole year too when given nutrients regularly.

I haven't grown anything inside in many years.
