Weekend Reflections - Peterborough

My last few posts have been of our recent trip to the arid lands north of us.
Here are a few reflections just after sunrise when the streets were empty of people,
except for me of course.

Above is the Town Hall reflected in the shop windows on the other side of the street.

One of the old hotels with their cast iron lace embellishment.

The YMCA glorying in the first rays of the sun

and the perfect mirror image in this grand mirror on the side of the Peterborough Hotel.

It was a most satisfying morning walk up and down the main street.

  7. So peaceful and quiet! You know, a few years ago, there was a commercial for an airline, I think. A man walks in the middle of an empty city street and there is no one in sight. He's so distressed that he shouts out, "Where IS everybody????" Hehehehe. I think I would have reenacted that if I had been there.

  11. It is like a western town. There is a certain nostalgia about a street without people. I would like to be in one, as long as it is safe. But how do you know it is safe? Sigh. So many questions. I like that you just go out there and shoot... Tsup!

  12. Wonderful reflections. Yes, I like window reflections.

I looked through my emails and found your comment, but couldn't find it in my blogs. Don't know why. I think I'm just tired so early in the morning. And concentrated for this shooting. But I like my work, it's great!
