SkyWatch - Surprise from Heaven

Light through scattered clouds

well, with just a little bit more cloud

resolving into nothing much

when, half inch hailstones smashed into the tulips
and lilac at it's best
that's spring for you, when something is perfect, boom

half an hour later, they were fluffy and innocent

like a fluffy monster swimming on a lake of clear water

or a pink iceberg.

Ah, the vagaries of weather!

  7. Oh I do love the "Pink Iceberg" thought! I know, we had so many nice things growing last Spring and along came a hail storm and gone they were. I also have a very naughty cat that recently/yesterday ate the tops off of 3 plants that I have been growing from seed all Summer season. I had brought them in for the Autumn/Winter and had them protected I thought...silly kit cat, naughty kit-cat~

  8. Oh. What a succession of skies. We have had wind here - but no rain and no hail.
And you are still ahead of us (lilac nowhere near out). Have a beautiful weekend - and thank you for the gift of these skies.

  9. Beautiful cloud shots Arija!
That looks like pretty large hail. Hope your flowers recovered.

  10. I think this is the weather in our minds as well Arija, totally unpredictable... often beautiful, sometimes destructive, then serene or humorous... just life.

  12. We have had similar spring weather here.

I was surprised at how many Australian tourist were still climbing the Rock - its not like the "we would rather you did not climb" message is new.

  17. Hello my dearest, Arija. I am afraid to read into your comment. I have a sad feelig about it. I am so sorry to hear. What are we to do about life? Peace. The ending is peace. I suppose live it fully, well and purposefully. Be kind to others and be true and good. I do not know what else to say except I wish I could give you a hug. I love you. Tsup!
