SkyWatch - A Golden Pumpkin Moon

The night before last, the full moon rose as a majestic
golden ball

with clouds about,
it was now you see it, now you don't

yet even with obscuring clouds,
it glowed like a pumpkin in the sky.

When your heart beats like an erratic kettle drum, it is not
easy to keep the hands steady.

  5. Magic. And my hands do a kind of St Vitus dance too - to much less beautiful effect than yours.

  10. That's a shot to which blur lends itself exceedingly well! Photographic error is only in the eye of the pedantic!!

  15. The blur, whether caused by erratic clouds or erratic heartbeats, adds a touch of mystery to the rising moon.

  20. I have seen an orange tangerine moon but a golden pumpkin moon is the first to me. With such a zooming, you can’t keep your hands steady especially when you’re so excited.

Wish you a peaceful Christmas and a healthy New Year, arija.
