SkyWatch - Total Disappointment

Thick and wonderful, they came charging over the hill

even the East was awash with them

They billowed into glorious Nimbus

and were sucked up into the upper atmosphere by the burning sun
without shedding a single drop!

The only moisture around was in my eyes as all hope departed.

  3. I'm reminded of our sons' basketball game tonight.
They played into two overtime periods, still tied, only to lose by a basket in the final seconds.
My husband said, "It's the most disappointing, losing like that when you're so close. I'd rather just be stomped & know I'm going to lose than to be that close & miss out." I don't know which is better in basketball.. but your clouds remind me of that closeness to victory, to feel it coming, only to have it slip away by a slim margin.
Thinking rain drop thoughts for you, Arija!

  15. Oh I'm sad too -- you needed those clouds to DO something. California here in our country and to some extent Oregon are having the same trouble....no rain, they are talking about rationing it for the farmers so that all the zillions of people there will have enough. But our whole country depends on California agriculture. Terrible scary situation. I don't know what will happen.

You are certainly more directly affected. But it brings tears to my eyes too.

  16. Hi Arija, beautiful clouds, even without the rains...
I have so been missing you. Did you get my message that I cannot get to my Google email messages now since end of last year. I also am having trouble with uploading my images, and found a way to sneak them in one at a time. If you have written me one of your sweet messages, I have not been able to view them.
We are in bitter COLD here for 3 weeks now, snow, ice, and low temperatures. I would send you a bucket of snow, it would be like rain by the time it arrived.
    Love and hugs~
