SkyWatch - A walloping storm

Last Saturday at the Angaston Farmers' Market
a great storm arose
do enlarge for a fuller effect

the light changed

and multi-coloured clouds with pink and green in them
gathered in the space of a few minutes

they darkened and started turning into horizontal ropes

then a mixture of rain and hail bucketed down

as lightning flashed vertically and
horizontally at the same time

driving was a bit hair-raising and at a snail's pace
but we got home safely none the less.

  6. And I thought my own photo showed an impressive sky! Yours are truly scary. I only once saw such a sky in Australia and it was like a giant flying saucer moving over us. Thanks for telling the whole story in images, it was worth it. I'm glad you were safe !

  17. Very scary looking stormy driving conditions, but gosh even your stormy days are beautiful. Not like gray winter rains in Oregon. Just gray, no interest.

  18. Arija, that was quite a storm, and so dramatic! It looked like Moses was about to part the Red Sea!
