Spring time on the Murray River from the bridge
near Jingellic
here the river is the boundary between Victoria
and New South Wales. The Willows on the bank are
just greening up
side pools with reflections and an old tree casting shadows.
Plum blossom on the bank to show that Spring has arrived.
A Gum tree (Eucalyptus) keeping his toes cool and his
head above the water.

Thanks 2seetnsaxy for this very wet meme.
Ah, Spring! I'd love to float down that river and enjoy more of the beauty. Although I see from the side pools the water can be less serene. Excellent post with your delightfully flowing words and great captures.
ReplyDeleteI will visit your country someday.
I love you right back.
ReplyDeleteI would never reject what you say. Never. I will ponder it, but I certainly would never reject it.
love Renee xoxo

That river is very beautiful. I have never seen a gum tree before. It sure knows how to survive.
ReplyDeleteOh pretty... good to see spring popping up... the blossoms are so fresh and white... what a wonderful post... it makes me happy! =)
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses, my friend.
Ah, Arija, as you await spring, we await autum. Hello from the other side of the world!
ReplyDeleteGreat views of your early spring.

What did you do on the last photograph. levitate so you can take this angle? You are incredible! This afternoon I was thinking of you! There I was in my office thinking about your lovely photography.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely watery place ... so beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Looks like a splendid area - would love to put my feet in that water.
ReplyDeleteTheses are all really nice shots.
ReplyDeleteI love the place peaceful, clean and beautiful..
ReplyDeleteAh, spring. We are starting to get some tiny signs of fall in our little reverse universe.
ReplyDeleteI love the shadows and the distant hills in the watery photos! Here in Canada, with the summer beginning to wind down, it is hard to remember plum blossoms!
ReplyDeleteI was working but I was also thinking about art and about these artists trading cards and exchanging artwork and I thought to myself "I wonder if I draw something for her, will she send me an autographed 8x11 print of one of her photographs that I like?"
ReplyDeleteBut now that I said it, I just want to let you know that I hate deadlines with my art.
See, that's it. Just when I tell myself that I have picked my favorite you come along with another fabulous one, still I would like one to keep me company 9in my office where I am surrounded by the artwork of my children and of bella Sinclair. Now a photograph of Arija will make it perfect and I will gaze at it during my most stressful moment and a smile will flash across my face.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are the most gorgeous photos. It's so lovely to see pictures of spring in your part of the world while we are in the heat of summer. Thank you for that!! :) Silke
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice river to float down on a HOT summer day - though, it's only spring there. It's hot summer here.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
the photo with the tree shadow is wonderful, as is all the others. the plum blossoms remind me of an image I have been trying to identify.

Your river has some beautiful places, cool and green and shady, I liked the pretty plum blossom, it seems rather early. Nice to think Spring is just around the corner.

ReplyDeleteIts one of my favourite spring moments when the willows come out again!
ReplyDeleteThe river looks interesting with the little side pools and all.
It is so good to see some water hanging around the Murray plus some Spring blossoms. So many parts of this once mighty river are in crisis!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a gum tree before.
ReplyDeleteA true survivor.
Have a great day!
Anna
