SkyWatch ~ Sweltering Heat

The heat of the past two months has been physically challenging
forcing me to spend most of my time in a horizontal position.
My trusty laptop has also suffered and attack from cyber-space
and only came out of intensive care last night.

Somehow we both weathered our various onslaughts and survived.

One of our hot, hot sunsets over yonder hill in the west looking
just a tad menacing.

A moment of silver lining as the sun decides to briefly show
her face

and light up the bare paddocks of my favourite hill in the east.

A big thank you to all of you who have left me so many
supportive comments. Your friendship and caring thoughts
mean so much to me. I am sorry I can as yet only visit now
and then as time sitting is still limited .

The Logo unlocks hundreds of other skies.

Thanks to our fab. Team we can all enjoy each other's skies.

  7. Do hope you are feeling a little better each day, Arija! Your captures are beautiful as always! I know it's very hot there, but for those of us in the cold, it almost sounds wonderful -- we'll make different sounds when heat returns to this part of the world. Take care!

  8. Arija, I'm sure glad you and the laptop are surviving. Those clouds do look menacing but guess there was no rainy repreive, except for the beautiful colors. Take care of yourself and know you are loved here.

  16. Sweltering heat is not the most conducive weather to smiles and laughter but you may rock in a chair and drink lemonade while listening to Ella Fitzgerald's "Summertime" In the meantime I can listen to "Baby It's Cold Outside.

It's been grey here that all my photos are really nothing but grey with little black buildings so I am forgoing posting them, so far.

Thinking of you my dearest friend - everyday.

  17. Nice colours. Good use of the silhouette of the tree to frame the photos.

    Have a good weekend.

  18. I'm sorry you are having a hard time right now. The photos are beautiful. We complain about the cold and snow over here, but the intense heat can be just as bad or worse. Hang in there!

  21. I feel so bad for you Arija. I don't like the heat at all! It will make me physically sick, so I do sympathize with you. I'm sending you a whole truckload of snow to cool things off. As soon as you run out let me know, and I'll fill er up again!.LOL
    Take care and rest.
Your skies are beautiful though, although they do look a bit threatening.

  23. It goes hot in our climate too -- not horribly hot, but humid at the same time. I think the highest the heat index has ever gotten up to was 115 and it truly felt life-threatening.

I especially love the last picture -- the hill looks like a field of gold.

I hope you get a break in the weather soon so that you can get back on your feet.

  24. Beautiful photos of the skies! I am glad you and your laptop are managing to survive. We do not get the sweltering heat here in Alaska, but when I have been in that kind of weather it has been very challenging. Hopefully your fall weather will bring you some relief. Here spring will be a couple more months away, but we are enjoying much longer daylight hours, and that really improves your mood. We have 8 hours between sunrise and sunset now, but an extra hour tacked on to that on either end of twilight. That's a big change from the end of December when we had 3 hours between sunrise and sunset.

  26. You are a good soul to post in spite of these challenges! The photos are wonderful. As with some of your other followers, imagining the heat right is nearly impossible. Speedy continued recovery. And the same for your computer!!! :)

  27. I do not know what must have happened to you, but I do hope that you are on your way to a full mending. It does sound like our climates are just at the extreme opposites for now. We are having frigid temperatures with more snow coming tomorrow. I would take some of your heat, but not all of it, sounds rather warm there. Do take care and I am so glad that I met you on here, for your images are calming and full of texture and lovely coulouration~
