The first ray of hope in the cold of winter that Spring will come
again, the delicate Winter Iris shyly hiding amongst its leaves.
Do enlarge to see the sparkle.

Another of my favorites are Iris, even though I have none. They are in full bloom here too. We do have the yelow "swamp iris" on our property that grows wild. The Jonquils are all spent around here, so we'll have to wait for another spring.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful Sunday.
B.
I always like Iris. Your photograph shows its essence:)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful blooms to see for the beginning of winter, yet an inspiration to hold out for spring.
ReplyDeleteLove the iris' "whiskers" look; puts a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteOne new flower in my list, the Jonquils.
Arija we are in opposite seasons with our gardens..a perk for us in visiting one another. In the dead of winter's cold you can come to my garden and have a breath of summer and I come to you for a bit of quiet winter.
ReplyDeleteStay warm my Aussi friend and heal well..love and light anna xo
Irises are always so pretty in every color though my favorites are what you have displayed. Beautifully photographed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Arija...My little bunny wasn't a black bear..the only black bear in this area was a poor young male who wandered in and was shot by police instead of being relocated.. Very sad when we are so intolerant and fearful....Michelle
ReplyDeleteI love the irises, beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteI do love Iris and your photos are so beautiful, Arija! Thanks as always for sharing the beauty! Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Hi, questo colore viola รจ veramente molto bello !!
ReplyDeleteMi piace molto questo colore :-))
I have a white iris, Arija. I love it!
ReplyDeleteHappy week, dear!
Oooh! Finally a flower (aside from the rose, daisy and amaryllis) I can identify - the iris!
ReplyDeleteI am not really sad about my Mother. I just miss her when I am struggling. Somehow having her nearby made everything possible. You are right, we are the ones who solve our problems but having a good Mother on our side is always a winner.
I love you, Arija. I hope you are well.
It's a quiet Sunday today and I hope it passes peacefully for everyone.
Tsup!
Always a treat to come here and see your beautiful flowers Arija.
ReplyDeleteAn English Girl Rambles.
You've presented your readers with a fine bouquet!
ReplyDelete«Louis» thanks you for visiting San Francisco Bay Daily Photo!
I agree with all the other comments, that irises are the most photogenic flowers, next to roses of course!! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteStunning picture of the flowers, will definitely make my day. Keep posting.
ReplyDeleteYour iris is such a lovely shade and the sparkle is a treat. Also beautiful clump of jonquils a sure sign that spring will come.
ReplyDeleteHi Arja, I think that it isn't easy to take beautiful and interesting photo of Iris because of its shape. I tried to take its photo many of times and have never satisfied so far. Your photo of Iris is great. I love both perspective and the lovely blue color with yellow stripe along the flower petals.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that looking at your beautiful photos I don't have a feeling that it is winter there. Winter there is more beautiful than spring over here. By the way it's been too hot over here; I am not used to such high temperatures. But only about 10 days ago I longed for a little sun and warmer weather... man is really hard to please...:-))
I hope you are feeling well my friend.
I hope I can still catch up some flowering bulbs when we get there in September.
ReplyDeleteYour garden never runs dry with blooms.
A blooming flower always give us a glimpse of the beauty of spring
