TODAY'S FLOWERS ~ Perfectly Pink

Even in the depth of winter my roses back me up.

*
A week to mid-winter and I'm pruning roses but how can you
chop back such beautiful flower heads? I guess I'm just a soft
touch so I work around the buds and flowers and trim them later.

*
A little wonder from the shade house, a gloriously perfumed
little Cyclamen.

  4. I can never cut my roses back at the end of the season either. It always amazes me how long they go.

  5. I would find it impossible to trim off those beautiful roses. Was hiking the other day and stopped in my tracks because of the heady aroma of wild roses along the trail. I really wanted to take that smell home with me.

  16. When we were landscaping the back yard a small rose bush was found buried in the back under the deck. It is now in the side flower bed where it can finally see the light of day..If it blooms, I will post a photo...Michelle

  17. Very generous bloom of your roses that continues to delight your garden and heart.

Question: how come Cylamens here in Australia are not as dense and big petalled as those in Europe? The ones I'd seen in Germany were rounded and robust and thick flowered.

Has it something to do with our weather?
