Hi Arija, this bird looks like our Cormorant in Eastern Canada...he dives and then dries his wings in the sun. Does he have a different name down under?
Oooooh I love this series of photographs especially the first one. The second one scares me. I am reminded of dams and bad experiences but just the same I like being tempted. Have a beautiful day! Tsup! Tsup!!!
We saw some of your darters at the San Diego Zoo recently. There were two nesting pairs and the two males were arguing over nesting material. We spent some time watchin them. They look similar to the cormorants we have here.
