Shadow Shot Sunday ~ Evening Shadows

On our last trip to the North Flinders Ranges I gathered many
marvels, not least the sharp desert light that defines the landscape.

One click and it grows!

Thanks to Tracy at HEY HARRIET we can all hide in shadows on Sundays.

  1. Simple, straightforward, yet elegant. Good eye! Most photogs would not have seen any value in shooting this -- thanks for being attuned!

  3. and the one click is most definitely worth it. the pale blue of the rocks is more evident, and lovely against the reddish-colored sand. I like the shadow fingers. happy SSS.

  6. Desert light does indeed make sharp shadows. I'm a desert-dweller, I know!

    BE MY COMPANION

    Come here, my shadow,
    Do not delay;
    Be my companion,
    Show me the way;
    Teach me your secrets,
    Chant as we go
    Of light and darkness—
    Make my heart glow!

  8. Why do evening shadows remind me of yesteryears? There is something about them, a sort of sepia tone of memories.
