Japonica made a bright patch of colour towards the end
of winter.
At the same time the almonds burst into blossom
and gave hope that spring was finally on it's way.
As the Tritonias started flowering, the wombat was still visible,
when they gathered force, it almost disappeared in the sea of
ice blue.
The Tulips, from showing promise a few weeks ago,
are glowing in tones of red and gold as well as many other
colours and an absolute feast to the eyes.
In every corner of the garden blossom abound and
flowers of many kinds contribute to the sight and scent of spring.
What lovely flowers. Hope they bring you some joy today.

ReplyDeleteAh! Yes the beautiful sights and smells of Spring .... I notice you have tulips flowering in your garden ... They are a almost unseen down here on the plains.
ReplyDeleteEach season and area has it's own treats. It's too warm for almonds here and my tulips didn't flower. You have some gorgeous flowers to add patches of bright colour to the rich greens. We are in northern NSW, quite a different climate.

My parents had many Japonica bushes, and I used to capture honey bees in a jar when I was young.
