I love mealtime shots! And I love this bird. I just wish a great.grandchild were here so I could show him the picture and teach him it's wonderful name!
They are splendid birds - we had a lot of fun watching them eat earthworms the last time we were in the Grampians. Never seen them doing that in close up before.
i was so surprised by kookaburras when i finally made their acquaintance, i had fun watching them in hall's gap--i only knew of them from a silly song we sang as kids.
I just think that these chaps are so wonderful and love when you all from Australia share them with us. We can see them only in cages. I apologize for my tardiness, but Thursday and Friday seem to be my best blogging days. The husby uses the desktop only and I have use to laptop, but it is not so easy to work blogging from compared to the desktop~
such an interesting looking bird. loved seeing your photos of it Arija!
i have not skated on my ponds, but they are so frozen that one could now. some winters they freeze and thaw on and off. they might be frozen for the season this year, we shall see. I don't actually know how to skate, might be fun to slide across ;-)
