SkyWatch - Just another Sunrise, Part 1

This sunrise did not look like much as I prised open one eye
and cast it out the window.

I left my nice warm bed anyway and by the time I had my
fleecy dressing gown on and braved the dewy morning,
it had assumed some colour

so I got a little trigger-happy and snapped away until the sun rose.

The more I snapped, the more the colours changed and grew
and the number of shots grew as well
so, I'll be showing different aspects of this one event
over a few weeks.

  29. Spectacular sunrise! Well worth being up early. As I was looking at these photos, I glanced down again at your previous post, and was struck with the photo of all your white birds in the tree. Yesterday at Creamer's Field I took some photos of a bunch of white birds in the treetops too, only these were a bit smaller. The Snow Buntings are migrating through right now, and I happened to be right near the trees when they flew up and landed. My post and yours are both of a big flock of white birds, but the surroundings are so very different--and so many many miles between them!

    1. Isn't it odd Elaine, how on opposite sides of the world and in opposite seasons we both are given the same close up opportunity to enjoy and photograph a massed effect of white birds. An unexpected and strange synchronicity of event and of feeling. I am so glad we are in synch.
It is good to know that we are not alone in this world, even if far removed by distance.
Thanks for coming back and letting me know.
