OUR WORLD - Hitting New Zealand's West Coast

After feasting our senses on these and more beauties

we head south and west to the South Pacific Ocean

a great spot to stretch our legs and enjoy the colours
of the open ocean

a magnificent beach and so very crowded

not just one or two pieces of driftwood to use as foreground!

Having filled our lungs with the sweet, pure air,
time to move onward.

  1. The flowers are pretty and I love that driftwood on the beach. I am nearly home now from my trip to Malawi and Zambia, just waiting at Heathrow for my flight this afternoon but thanks for leaving me all the comments when I was away.

  5. Oh yeah, those crowded beaches are just the kind I love too! Picking up on your irony and knowing you know that i love the quiet! As you do. We love that ocean (the other side of it). The Atlantic, here in Florida, is not as beautiful and is more crowded.

  10. Love the sandy beach and driftwood. We have lots of driftwood on our lake because of logging activities and trees that escape float back and forth with the wind. Old stumps are washed out and look much like the ones in your picture. - Margy
