Tooday my wonderful daughter took me to a
beautiful place, 'The Flower Garden' in Nairne,
South Australia. A veritable rose growers paradise,
a feast for the senses where beauty and scent
intermingle....I give you a little of my experience

Everything was well tended and surrounded by
high hedges to shield the garden from our searing
summer winds. Beautifully clipped box hedges of
different verieties surrounded individual beds.

the top of a hill overlooking the little town of Nairne.

  2. Thanks so much for stopping by "Nature & More" & for sharing that wild duck fact. For the ducklings to drop from a tree & survive is truely amazing. By the way, beautiful roses, one can never see enough of any flower!

  7. Oh my goodness, what a visual extravaganza you had! A bonza of colors. I especially love the first photograph where the light gently penetrates the petals.

Is there a favorite photograph that you want rendered in black and white pen and ink, not flowers, I am not very keen on drawing flowers, just photographing them. :)

  51. Those roses are all stunning, I especially like the golden ones. We visited the Goldborne Rose Festival last March and it was breathtaking. We have planted an S shaped rose bed, I call it the rose 'snake' garden. The roses are quite small but coming into leaf nicely just now.
