TODAY'S FLOWERS ~ Winter Wonders

Captured this afternoon on my walk with cat and camera.
Banksia flowering in the park.

Banksia seed pods, the brown one from last year, the grey from
previous years.

The ground littered with Eucalyptus flowers picked by naughty
parrots just for something to do.

The underside of a Eucalyptus flower

and held in my frozen, gloved hand so you could see it face on.
*

Flowers bloom in all seasons and all around the world, click
on the Logo and be surrounded by fields and bouquets of them.

  2. The Banksia looks like a cross between a pinecone and bottlebrush. I'm happily amazed you have flowers when so cold.

  12. Hi, from Colorado! I didn't even know eucalyptus have flowers. And the seed pods are interesting-they look like something that could be put in a dried arrangement. Fun to hear you say your GLOVED hand when mine is so hot! ♥♫

  18. My husband is a woodworker and has a banksia pod in his collection of "exotic" woods (exotic to us not to you, LOL). So this is what the flower looks like!

  19. I forgot it was winter there, but is it THAT cold that you have to wear gloves? Thet yellow flower is really interesting Arija, and the Parrots sure do make a mess.
