  1. The shadow as art is true - just a little warming sun creates shadows of distinction. Be they man-made, totally natural, or like here - a lovely blend. Wonderful!

    Happy New Year!

  11. Wonderful shadows! There is something beautiful and personal in your comment "...the fence and I"! Enchanting! And the dear dog resting is totally unaware of all the shadows playing round! Great series!

  12. I am so sorry that the professor's mind is deteriorating. And the loss of your cat is also sad. In spite of this I hope that you will manage to find love and joy in 2011, Arija!

I hope that there are no bush fires again in your area. In Queensland there are large flooded areas, but my daughter's house is on a higher spot and not flooded fortunately!

  20. Your shadow shots are always so fascinating! I was sorry to hear that you had experienced the horrors of bushfire and can't imagine how awful that must have been. I don't know what would be worse. Bushfire or flooding? Both equally devastating I think, and my heart goes out to all who have experienced such disasters. On a brighter note, I hope you have a very Happy New Year Arija!

  23. Happy New Year Arija !
I am totally interested in what on earth are you holding in your hand for the shadow shot ??
Both of them are great .. fences always seem to have a life of their own don't they .. and yes the line the "fence and I" as GT said .. lends mystery to it .. love the relaxed pooch too !
    Joy : )

  28. Fabulous shadows! I love the dog in the grass photo best - we're home from Hawaii and there's no warm grass for our dog to lie in here. Too bad we couldn't take her with us.
