Grevillea robusta, the largest of our Grevilleas, matures to
a 35m tree. Used for honey production and beloved of honey
eating birds such as Honeyeaters, Lorekeets and Rosellas.
It is blooming in my garden as I write.

A smaller, red flowered grevillea grows in my garden. I don't care for the way it attacks me with its prickley leaves but the hummers love it so it will remain part of my landscaping.

Dreamt last night I went up close to one of these golden grevillias but somehow became covered in those thread-like stick twirly prickles that attach themselves to clothing here in the South Australian bush. Funny to dream of this plant so recently then see it here!!

These shadow shots are great! I especially like the first one, with the shadows making the scene look a little eerie.

yesterday Marina and Antigoni came to visit me with their families. They are the Greek blogging sisters. Marina has lived now in Brussels for a short time and her sister visited her for the Christmas holidays.All those guests were wonderful to meet.
