Watery Wednesday ~ St.Ronans's Well

St.Ronan's Well is situated on the roadside in the temperate
rainforest of Victoria. The water is sparklingly clear as it flows
from the mountain. It was littered with coins from people making
wishes but rather difficult to photograph in the shade of the
rainforest giants.

This was the overflow burbling over the side

and where the light caught it, at the top of the overflow, the
water appeared to flow in criss-crossing cubes. I had never
seen water do that before.

  2. Great shots. Yet it is a shame people have to thrown coins in such pristine waters. Doesn't help the fish downstream a bit.

  4. Your photo of the rippling stream shows such intricacy - it's like a crystal necklace in a beautiful cross hatch pattern.

  5. I don't think you let the shady conditions bother you too much! The top photo has a kaleidoscopic effect. I'd love to hike into a place like that.

  9. Beautiful effect!

Watching wildlife go about their everyday activities is very satisfying and much better than seeing them in a zoo. I especially enjoy all the animals that I see in my yard. The kangaroos and birds you see seem very exotic to me, as I'm sure the moose and cranes I see do to you. What a fascinating world we live in!

  10. I hoped that their wishes came true. But I not like to disturb those waters in their natural condition by throwing those coins.
