Farming is a wonderful lifestyle
but it can get expensive when things
need replacing.
First it was imperative to replace the totalled farm UTE
as so often disaster strikes in threes,
our much beloved antediluvian Ferguson tractor
died with it's leg in the air.
Without a tractor, shifting round bales in hilly country
was out of the question
sooo, I had to bite the bullet, this time a bigger one,
and get a new tractor
Here it is taking a good look at it's new home.

with the 'adoration of the Magi' happening' in the background.
Granddaughter and grandson and grandson-in-law
are the main workforce here and all were excited
about the big prongs, post-hole attachment
and all the other things that come with it.
Grandson has already repaired the pot-holes
and graded the drive.
One very happy granddaughter taking it for a run.
Now all I have to do is get a hundred more sheep . . .
I am so lucky to have my daughter and grandchildren so
involved in my farming dream.

Well, that was an eventful day, wasn't it? I hadn;t realized you were on a working farm til now. I'd like very much to hear more about farm life there in Australia.

ReplyDeleteThat's a very classy tractor Arija and good to see the whole Family are there to welcome it to The Farm. Lovely in red but I would imagine tractors are very necessary but they don't come cheap!!
