The sickle moon shines brightly
although the last light of the sun
still lingers in the western sky
the light that mimics the curvature of the Earth
just goes to show that the Earth is round after all.

Lovely light -- and yes, how did anyone ever think otherwise. I thought of this in Homer where we felt like we were in the center of a circular basin. (And we are).
