They are so very different to the butterflies we have in cooler
areas.
Even the simple browns have bright markings.
blues on this one. A little further north they are brilliant blue
all over flitting about like so many shining sapphires.

I love this sequence. I think you did a great job capturing the varieties of butterflies. It will be a while before butterflies appear in part of the world. I find them hard to photograph even when they are here.

ReplyDeleteOh, they know. They know you are filled with nature spirit. How else could you have gotten so close and taken such beautiful photos! The variety is amazing. The patterns are brilliant! I remember lots of beautiful blue butterflies in Tokyo that I hadn't seen anywhere else.

Beautiful photos Arija! Although lantana is considered a pesty plant, I remember we had a hedge of it in our yard as a child, and it was always covered in butterflies.
