Watery Wednesday ~ Creek Crossing

In the North Flinders Ranges the country and driving gets a
bit rugged. What seems like a puddle from a distance,

Is a little different once you are in it.

A view to the left

and heading out again. As you can see by the steep bank, one
seldom can gauge how deep it is in the middle or whether the
flash flood has dug some axle breaking holes in the ford.

This time we were lucky.

All photos enlarge for better viewing.

Thanks to 2sweetnsaxy for getting our feet wet on Wednesdays.

Yes … depth can be difficult to gauge from a distance. A camera also can fail to show depth but you did a great job of exposing the “puddle” for what it really is. :)

I like those shots. But it seems you have to be very careful.

You never waste an opportunity to shoot, I like that a lot.

Must I assume these are drive by shots?

Have a lovely day.

That does look rather deep. Arija! You can borrow our submarine if you like! :) I love the photo with the reflected trees particularly.

It looks like a lake when you get up close to it! Good reflections in it!
Great post!

You do have to be careful. The weather folks around here have a saying for deep water." Go around, don't drown."
Have a great rest of the week Arija.

Great shots of something that does not seem to be so much, from a distance. Beautiful reflections!

That can be a tad bit scary when you don't know just how deep the water is in the middle.
I would hate to have to wade through it to find out. glug, glug as I sink under the to deep water.

Have a lovely week, Arija.
