Gorgeous captures, Arija, as always! I do love the last two with the rays of sunlight offering hope for a beautiful evening. Gorgeous way to end any day! Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Arija, I wanted to respond to your remark on my blog of enduring famine in Germany in 1945, but couldn't find your email address. Anyway you said you were refugees, from where? Pommern, Schlesien, Ostpreussen...? Here is my own experience: At that time my parents and I were living in the attic of a house in a village in Schleswig-Holstein, having had to flee Hamburg. I remember running after a horse-drawn cart piled high with turnips and begging the farmer to drop one off. I think overall we probably had it easier in the countryside. In the cities it must have been aweful; also if you are a refugee, people don't want to share with strangers.
Hi Arija! Thank you for your kind visit! Your skies look so similar to mine this evening ~ even though we are on opposite sides of the planet! The same clouds and sun rays ~ so beautiful, I took my sunglasses off to enjoy fully. The only thing missing here is the ocean ... Your photos are so beautiful! ~Have a beautiful weekend~ Maria
Wondeful, moody skies. Your nice greeting over at my blog reminded me somehow of David Sedaris--he's got a public radio show skit about discovering Shakespeare as a kid and driving his Mom nuts for months on end by speaking "Elizabethan."
Ancient as time, favourite tree: the oak, animal: the wolf, flower: Anemone hepatica, place: a forest near water.Bird: too numerous to name, camera permanently grafted to hand, lover of light, nature, the sea, mountains, deserts, all forests, musing on the essence of being, loving all things great and small, caring for this wonderful planet of ours.
Nice teasing rays of sun sparkling on the water.
