TODAY'S FLOWERS - Winter Blooms

My crabapple, Malus floribunda, is as confused with the
seasons as the birds

it is not supposed to flower in early winter when all it's leaves
have fallen

the last autumn leaf still lies on the ground

yet the garden has skipped three months and thinks it's spring!

Thank you Denise for keeping this cheerful meme going for
more than five years.
I have always found it a delight to share my flowers here.

  3. Thank you for the kind words Arija. When I hear these sweet comments it makes it all worthwhile and I was very happy to jump in when Luiz had to leave. He created a beautiful meme and I am happy to keep it going. With your help and with the help of all our TF friends, long may it keep going :)

I love the flowers you have shared today. Thank you so much.

Would you be willing to share two or three of your favorite flower photos on our home page in our Guest Friend spot? I know you are entering into your colder months but if you have any and are are interested you can send them to me at luvinwildlife@hotmail.com, and if you could please put ‘TODAY’S FLOWERS’ in the subject line, this would prevent it from dropping into my spam folder. As friends send me their photos I add them to a list in the order received, and let them know when they will be shown.

Thank you for considering this and absolutely no pressure, we are just very grateful that you share your flowers with us whenever you can, but I do remember that flowers will be getting scarce in your part of the world.

    Wishing you a happy weekend,
    Denise

  4. I thought that some of our plants had got a little 'ahead of themselves', but there is nothing like this to be seen. Our crab-apple is not even in bud yet. Gorgeous glimpses of the glory to come - thank you.

  5. OK, I know there's nothing normal about weather, but this is crazy. Beautiful yet strange.

  7. Wow, we also had some of this kind of blooming last year and I was concerned that come true Spring, the beauties would not develop, yet I was mistaken...thankfully so. Nature, always throwing surprises our way. Have a Happy!!!

  10. I have a crab of the same color, and it was the most beautiful ever this year since I planted it, and it is full of apples.
