Claire Matin, described as a climber, I would
say it is more a very large shrub. Disease free
constantly flowering from early spring well into
winter with masses of gently scented blooms.

Souvenir de la Malmaison, a very old rose hard
to come by. A tribute to the Empress Josephine's
rose collection at Malmaison where she spent her
latter years and commisioned Redoute to paint
portraits of her beautiful roses. The flowers spoil
easily with rain and excessive heat, but the delicate
shade of pink and wonderful scent make up for lack
of hardiness.

Princesse de Monaco, a tribute to Grace Kelly,
another perfumed, hardy rose that lasts well on
the bush and in a vase. Disease free and hardy.

A change from roses, some orange blossom
I wish I could send you the scent that wafts on
the breeze aroud two sides of our house right now.

This amazing climber covering the side of my shade
house is a constant flowerer during the growing
season, very hardy, blooms are rain and searing
heat proof, it's scent is that of a basket of freshly
picked apples combined with one single rose.
It's name? Fourth of July.

A close up of the above.

Mount Shasta, in the rain another hardy, healthy
bush with delicate scent and long stems for cutting

For a total change of scene, my almost back
Tree Paeonia.

Juat a few of the flowers in my garden to-day.
