SkyWatch ~ From Darkness comes Light

Sorry about my absence but a holiday, or at least a change of
scene was most necessary.

A few scenes of Perry's Sandhills near Wentworth on the
Darling River in New South Wales.

The sun hid behind dark clouds, casting the land into shadow.

A little more light filtered through

and cracked the dark clouds asunder with it's mighty beams.

We'll be back for a few days before we head off again . . .
meanwhile, enjoy life, enjoy whatever it is you have to do and
enjoy blogging!

SkyWatch ~ A most Romantic Sunset

The little cove at Second Valley, South Australia, is one of those
special places on this Earth. Delightful any time of day but when
the sun sets, well, there is a feeling that is hard to fathom . . .

the sky and sea turn into fluid gold.

I noticed this couple sitting night after night quietly regarding
the spectacle of the sinking sun. They just sat here or there,
while the gold merged into, first the pinks

then orange, heralding the finale

of the sun melting into the sea

and still the couple sat . . .

Do forgive me for not visiting, I am still well away from my service
provider and will do my best on my return.
I do so appreciate signs of life from my dear bloggy friends . . .

SkyWatch ~ A Simple Summer Sunrise

The sun is sick of rising early, no longer her eager starts before
5a.m., she lifts her sleepy head no earlier than 7 now. Blurry
still her eyelids flutter....

making patterns on the purple sky

as she yawns, the light drifts upward

till it paints the sky with molten gold as, glorying in her power,
she lifts her head over the horizon.

All photos expand with a simple click, try for yourselt.

The world is full of ever changing skies, click on the Logo
for the endless variety.

Thanks to the co-ordinating SkyWatch Team we can all
enjoy them.

SkyWatch ~ 32 The Hiding Sun

These are all taken from a very fast moving car.

The sun was in a playful mood
as we drove home today

she played at hide-and-seek with us
and just refused to stay

so in among the banking clouds
she hid herself away.

It is good to be back from the wilds and blogging
again. Only once did I have internet access, and
the signal was too weak to use.

Thank you Klaus and SkyWatch team for still
providing this great fun meme.

Thoughts of Spring

Please enlarge for best effect.

In springtime green the grasses grow
the rain falls soft, the rivers flow

the farmer starts his seed to sow
and life begins both high and low

The little creatures stir and wake
life starts anew in brook and lake

the song of bird by day is heard

though turtle utters not a word

The frog song nightly rising high
to fill the space twixt eath and sky

as with the morning sun at dawn,
the seasons' round goes on and on.
