    That last photo showing the yellow crest is beautiful! So interesting to see birds different than our own local ones.

    Wow! This second shot is especially stunning, Aria. We had a pet cockatoo for years that would actually annouce my son coming home from school by calling his name, when he heard the bus up at the road.

    Excellent action photography of the bird. You are blessed down there with many beautiful birds. It seem that every Australian blogger I visit has access to a variety of bird species. We only have warblers and black birds here and an occasional hummingbird, blue jay and cardinal.

    I especially like the first photo with the sunset colors on the bird. We have flocks of them up here and although they are beautiful they are also noisy and destructive!
