Victorian Alps, I spotted this little fellow.
I only had my normal lens, so it was sweet
of him to let me get so close.
Flame Robin, Petroica multicolor
Front view showing white cap.
After a snowfall over night, his
Mrs. came to visit our lodge.
She was as cute as she could stare.

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful....! I wish I’d know the name of every bird specie that visits my garden.... On Thanksgiving Day we had a much unexpected visitor--a beautiful bird, of wish I will be posting soon, appeared out of nowhere, he didn't belong there, that much I know….. Wish I recognized what it was… maybe a prairie falcon… he was certainly beautiful ;)

A magnificent little bird and so is his Mrs. Great photos and considerate of them to pose so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHe is even more colourful than our little robin here in the UK. I wonder if he is as aggressive - our little chap is quite a fierce bird when he gets going.
