TODAY'S FLOWERS ~ 29 Some Autumn Flowers

The lilybowl stands on a pine stump that is the reason
for all the golden mushrooms that thrive on rotting
wood, perfect colour to set off the last Petunias.

and a late, perfect 'Charles Austin' Rose in the garden.
All these are historical photos from two years ago
before the worst of the drought.

  5. sorry about the drought, we have come off a good winter with 100 inches of snow, so that our forest is temporarily lush and green. Thank you for your visit on a Skywatch Friday.... you have a beautiful blog!

  15. That first picture is a stunner... the flowers, fungi. and bowl are a delight to see.. and the reflection is the icing on the cake... I think that picture will be popping into my head all week now.

  16. You have a most wonderful blog. I was brought here by my first posting with Today's Flowers and thought I'd return your visit and compliment. You are taking great photos... good composition and subject and your text is meaningful and instructive and poetic. The wide range of subjects from the native parrots (oh, we miss our Zero!) to the hops ovens, the seasonal changes of the rivers and flower and sky shots are all reverently handled. Okay, I'm gushing a bit. I'll finish by just saying lovely and that if I may take your arm I'll be most happy to walk with you.

  34. Great post as always! I like the first photo with the reflection of the “piece” of blue sky in the lillybowl and with those interesting mushrooms around. The yellow rose is also gorgeous and so charming. Beautiful, indeed!
