SkyWatch ~ A Simple Summer Sunrise

The sun is sick of rising early, no longer her eager starts before
5a.m., she lifts her sleepy head no earlier than 7 now. Blurry
still her eyelids flutter....

making patterns on the purple sky

as she yawns, the light drifts upward

till it paints the sky with molten gold as, glorying in her power,
she lifts her head over the horizon.

  1. Beautiful lazy sunrise. I like that it rises later so I can actually see it. But I'm also very happy to see summer coming.

  4. Dear Arija, wonderful pictures of your shrinking summer days! Here on the other side of the globe, we have an early feeling of spring!
My doggy lost it's winter fur one month ago - so I'm optimistic ;)
You are so thoughtful asking me about my health: I'm doing fine without cigarettes, and I do a lot of exercise and I eat healthier food, but I still have to get rid of 15 pounds...
How are you doing? Best wishes, Maria

  6. Excellent early morning shots. Your loss of early mornings translates into a bit more sorely needed sunshine for us, when it comes.
