The only opportunity this week to capture a little hint of
colour in the sky, driving back along the Murray Valley,
looking back at the foothills of the Mt.Lofty Ranges.
*
The sky showed some promise so I pulled over and hoped...
*
*
plenty of clouds with the sun peeping through
*
*
no trumpets blaring, no bells and whistles, no heart stopping
rush of awe at the sheer magnificence, just a gentle fizzing out,
leaving the vastness of the sky just a vastness without
adornments.

Still beautiful Arija! The vast sky, the undulating clouds....
ReplyDeletePop over to my blog for a sunrise I almost missed this morning.....out in PJs with the camera.
I should be arrested! ;D

Looks like a few gentle brush strokes of soft color. Nice.
ReplyDeleteArija---LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteTrust me, the shock of me in the PJs is good for NO ONE. (not even me...I have hit *that age*)
And my neighbors go to work early, so usually it is some poor unsuspecting farmer that gets the eyeful for the day!!! hahaha!!!
Sorry it was just a sunrise... ;D

I understand the feeling of wanting a stunning sunset capture, but, it was the same in my little corner of the world this week also. We do the best we can with what we find. However, I think your sunset captures are quite lovely, I like the golden glow.
ReplyDeleteI am not at all disappointed in your photos...I like the gentleness of the sky. Hope you are feeling ok.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think this is a lovely peaceful sunset, and I would always be glad to see the sun going to bed so gently.
ReplyDeleteArija! I think this is a wonderful sunset...not so-so at all!
ReplyDelete'Just a gentle fizzing out'. How poetic!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you stopped and shared this gorgeous sunset. Still a beautiful light show.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like sky watching is that every moment has it's own beauty. Just like this one each photo has it's own characteristic and I know this were taken in just a matter of seconds and they are beautiful!
