This year I grew a few lilies in pots where I could keep them watered
and they sort of turned out all right. One even had 10 flowers on it.
I love the bright orange pollen
and the shadow-play of the stamens and pistil.

Lovely!! Both your lilies and photos are beautiful. I love lilies, and have several lilies in my flowerbed. The Asiatics will come back year after year here fairly reliably, and they provide such a wonderful splash of color mid and late summer.

They are a joy. I grow them here too, and love the structure and the scent. That pollen stains like nothing on earth though.
