TODAY'S FLOWERS - Spring in Winter

A beautiful display of gleaming gold as the weeds thrive and flower
in my garden.

Almond blossom have been out since mid-winter

as have masses of Jonquils.

It is such a happy time when there is enough rain to make the flowers grow.

  1. My father always told me that if a plant thrives it is a weed. And certainly the weeds seem to do much better than the plants I cosset in my garden.
I love your weeds, envy your almond and share the masses of jonquils. Enough to brighten the greyest day. Thank you for this bright and spring like post.

  13. Beautiful blossoms! Why is it the weeds always seem to thrive when we neglect the garden for only a little while?

  14. Having read this and the post before I am loathed to post some trite comment about weeds or flowers or the state of the weather.

As a family we have been in a similar place - which is not a good place to be. I hope you can find the rest and strength you need.
