White like angels, cute, intelligent and harmless??
No way. They may look like large blossoms but these Sulphur-
Crested cockatoos are more like a street gang than an angelic host.
Here the cocky is in slightly better focus.
This is the result of their playtime . . . my hoped of an almond crop
decorating the lawn
and a smug wrecker resting after his strenuous labour.

Oh those dirty birds.
ReplyDeleteHi Arija...To me they are gorgeous, and if I saw one for real I would gush over it,but having to deal with there naughtiness..dear me!!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your almond crop :{ !
Hope all is well with you!!
Grace
Squaaaaaaaaark.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that the blossoms were set long enough to produce almonds for you. I'm just guessing here, but I hope that's the case.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately they took off the whole flowers on the twigs . . . so, no almonds.
Deleteoh, such stinkers! street gang. ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI guess beauty can be deceptive.Trust you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteShame on them!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
It is so fascinating that you have parrots in the garden. Nice captures! :)
ReplyDeleteI guess you have no alernative but to grin and bear it, which you have done very well!
ReplyDeleteOh dear Arija and he is such a beauty too.
ReplyDeleteThey did look very smug about their accomplishment! Sad to see all those pretty blossoms on the ground. My garden was robbed yesterday by a moose who ate all the strawberries and swiss chard in the containers on my deck and sampled a big container full of pansies. I discover new things all the time that the moose find delectable.
ReplyDeleteA good looking bird!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing them outside as opposed to a cage..Michelle
ReplyDeleteGlad you can share the pictures, while we don't have to put up with them.
ReplyDeleteAh, but what a beautiful member of the street gang birds!! Love your captures for the day!!
ReplyDeleteOh no, I am sorry about your almond crop. But these birds are so pretty. And I love that they are free and not in a cage. Wonderful photos, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCockatoos are indeed beautiful and destructive in almost equal measure. Close to our home they peel the rubber seal from street lamps and then swing on it - much like a bungy jump. And I was not at all happy the year they pulled my tulips out of the ground as they flowered.
ReplyDeleteI so hope that some of your almond crop can be saved - and that if it is they don't come in and scoff the lot.
Oh no...they are way to beautiful to be so bad! Bummer.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and I had one of those in my garden this morning nipping off all the grevillea flowers.
ReplyDeleteHi there - I still find it remarkable that I see these birds as I walk home from work! How did that ever happen?
ReplyDeletethanks for the linking on WBW

Charming little bird. I'd have some in my house for sure!
ReplyDeleteHope things are going well. Arija. A bit dicey here.
I am still so amazed that these birds are wild where you live. They are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey really are pests! I didn't know such beautiful birds could do so much damage.
ReplyDeleteThey can be vandals alright - but so cheeky with it. I used to watch their noisy acrobatics while they stripped the trees of foliage in towns along the Murray River. Funny how you can be amused and cross with them at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThey sure make a mess so do the Corella's.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, what lovies!!! My, oh my what a mess they make' How are you, I have not heard from you for so long. Love and hugs my friend!
ReplyDeleteArija, good thing they are such good looking birds or they could be done in for their mischief.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful visitors! They are just amazing to watch. How I wish I have those visitors in my garden. cool!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful but definitely destructive huh Arija?
ReplyDeleteThey look fun but sound like a real bunch of characters.
ReplyDeleteWow! They made quick work of that, didn't they! Too bad you can't teach them to do laundry!
