My Blue wrens have finally donned their
little blue coats and are fiercely defending their territory
This little animation is cheating pure and simple.
My photos but my son's expertise in
creating the rotating animation.
So far I have safely reached Sydney and had a lot
of fun on the Indian-Pacific Railway
and am now enjoying springlike temperatures
and a lot of plum blossom and camellias
although the landscape around the ex gold mining
town of Bathurst was white with frost and the smaller dams
were ice covered at dawn.
More of that in my next OUR WORLD post.

Das ist ein netter und schöner kleiner Vogel, und auch sehr flink und beweglich :)

ReplyDeleteWow! Never seen this beautiful little bird. Never been to Australia, so maybe that's why! I hope to be visiting family in Australia in the next two-three years, so I will have to be on the lookout!

Very clever animation which captures the restless motion of small birds perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThe fairy wren is indeed superb.
ReplyDeleteI spent a number of years living in Bathurst - and remember those brisk mornings.
Sounds like you're traveling, Arija - will love seeing your spring photos.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet, sharp looking bird. Sounds like you're on a good adventure!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty!! and, what fun watching it strut its' stuff...
ReplyDeleteI like the animation you have going here. Wrens are amazing birds but I don't think I've seen one so colorful....at least we don't have the blue variety here:) One day I'd love to put the Wrens together in a collage and just compare their colors, faces and feather tones. Thanks for sharing this magical little bird.
ReplyDeleteWonderful birds!
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
PS: hope you have found some glasses!
"Superb" is the right adjective. Enjoy your trip Arija.

ReplyDeleteSO lovely!
ReplyDeleteSorry I've not been commenting lately but a tendinitis (shoulder + elbow) is forcing me to stay away from the computer as much as possible - repeated movements of the arm is all I have to avoid...
Such an adorable little bird!
ReplyDeleteThe wrens are sweet. Glad you are having fun in Sydney.
