You guessed it. A late afternoon sunbeam caught the last of my wilting yellow tulips on the windowsill, throwing their shadow and colour!!! onto the solid but translucent drawn curtain. Amazing the photos one can get even from a convalescent bed when you keep your camera handy. I've always been a photo-opportunist.
A lovely abstract of nature. Arija, thank you so much for your comment on my blog anniversary post. You made me teary. I always look forward to your visits!
I took similar shots yesterday of shadows peeking through burlap curtains...isn't it wonderful that we can see and feel such beauty all around us...BTW, I loved your words on wolves, I too feel that connection, well done!
Oh my goodness, Arija. These photos stopped me in my tracks. They are GORGEOUS! Delicate and ephemeral. What a wonderful catch! I've never seen a photo such as this before.
Thank you to all of you for leaving me signs your much appreciated messages. They really make my day.
Bella my Dear,
it was one of those magical moments when God gives us a present, it only lasts the life of a sun beam but when you see it you are entranced. Luckily I still had the presence of mind to grab my camera.
It really was one of those pictures and experiences one does not forget.
Ancient as time, favourite tree: the oak, animal: the wolf, flower: Anemone hepatica, place: a forest near water.Bird: too numerous to name, camera permanently grafted to hand, lover of light, nature, the sea, mountains, deserts, all forests, musing on the essence of being, loving all things great and small, caring for this wonderful planet of ours.
What a great shadow shot, beautiful lines and colour. It took me a moment, but is it a vase of flowers past there prime?
ReplyDeleteLovely, Arija! I really like the lines of the shadows and the translucent golden flower/
