Another of my favorites are Iris, even though I have none. They are in full bloom here too. We do have the yelow "swamp iris" on our property that grows wild. The Jonquils are all spent around here, so we'll have to wait for another spring. Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. B.
Arija we are in opposite seasons with our gardens..a perk for us in visiting one another. In the dead of winter's cold you can come to my garden and have a breath of summer and I come to you for a bit of quiet winter. Stay warm my Aussi friend and heal well..love and light anna xo
Beautiful Arija...My little bunny wasn't a black bear..the only black bear in this area was a poor young male who wandered in and was shot by police instead of being relocated.. Very sad when we are so intolerant and fearful....Michelle
Oooh! Finally a flower (aside from the rose, daisy and amaryllis) I can identify - the iris!
I am not really sad about my Mother. I just miss her when I am struggling. Somehow having her nearby made everything possible. You are right, we are the ones who solve our problems but having a good Mother on our side is always a winner.
I love you, Arija. I hope you are well.
It's a quiet Sunday today and I hope it passes peacefully for everyone.
Hi Arja, I think that it isn't easy to take beautiful and interesting photo of Iris because of its shape. I tried to take its photo many of times and have never satisfied so far. Your photo of Iris is great. I love both perspective and the lovely blue color with yellow stripe along the flower petals. It is interesting that looking at your beautiful photos I don't have a feeling that it is winter there. Winter there is more beautiful than spring over here. By the way it's been too hot over here; I am not used to such high temperatures. But only about 10 days ago I longed for a little sun and warmer weather... man is really hard to please...:-)) I hope you are feeling well my friend.
Hello from Finland ! Beautiful Iris ( popular girlname over here ) and your garden looks lovely too.I also like the shadow of the tree in the previous post.
Ancient as time, favourite tree: the oak, animal: the wolf, flower: Anemone hepatica, place: a forest near water.Bird: too numerous to name, camera permanently grafted to hand, lover of light, nature, the sea, mountains, deserts, all forests, musing on the essence of being, loving all things great and small, caring for this wonderful planet of ours.
